Glass Wave Sculptures by Sydney Artist Ben Young

Glass Wave Sculptures by Sydney Artist Ben Young

Australian artist Ben Young makes these beautifully hand-crafted sculptures by stacking layer upon layer of laminated glass on top of a concrete base. Ben doesn’t use any high-tech equipment during the process and hand-draws and hand-cuts each layer, which he describes as “a lot of work.” He works out what he wants to make and how he wants it to look, “I do a lot of thinking before I even start to draw or cut,” before sketching the concept by hand, brainstorming the look and feel and finally crafting the piece.
